Sinnar Warehouses Run out of Fuel
Sudan Events – Rehab Abdullah
The Sinnar State Director of the Petroleum Administration, Haider Ibrahim, revealed that the warehouses in the state have run out of cooking gas, but he promised to secure gas within the next few days, confirming that the benzene crisis that the state is suffering from will be resolved next Sunday.
The Director of the Petroleum Department said in press statements that the benzene crisis resulted from the cessation of the movement of trucks loaded with fuel from Port Sudan to the states bordering the war zones because the road was not secured due to the insecurity conditions the country is going through.
He confirmed that the security committee in Port Sudan has now decided to allow the movement of trucks loaded with fuel destined for the states of Sinnar, Blue Nile, and White Nile, but only after the governors of those states commit to providing security protection for the trucks. He pointed out that a meeting will be held in Port Sudan between the Federal Ministry of Energy and the governors tomorrow regarding providing security protection, confirming the availability of gasoline, noting the distributing 20,000 gallons to 6 fuel stations in Sinja, in addition to distributing another 40,000 gallons of gasoline during the next four days to the same stations.
