White Nile: Fuel Crisis Resolved

The Ministry of Production and Economic Resources in White Nile State has announced an imminent relief in the agricultural gasoline crisis for the winter agricultural season and the harvest of summer crops in the irrigated sector.
The Minister of Production in the White Nile, Engineer Al-Sadiq Mohamed Osman, said in press statements today that the Governor and the competent authorities in the state have made contact with the Sovereign Council and the Ministry of Energy to resolve the fuel crisis and provide the quantities required to irrigate the wheat crop and complete the summer harvest of the wheat crop.
He pointed out that the White Nile is one of the important states in production and productivity. He added that the areas cultivated with wheat for the winter season has reached 35,000 fedans out of a total of 120,000 targeted for the current season, in addition to the summer crop harvesting operations in an area of one million fedans and more than 15,000 fedans of vegetable crops.
