Libya: Sudanese and Chadian Deportation

The Anti-Illegal Immigration Service in eastern Libya has deported 109 migrants to Sudan and Chad, following extensive security campaigns launched by the agencies to apprehend illegal migrants.
The media office of the head of the “Anti-illegal Immigration Service” in the Eastern Region, Major General Nouri Al-Saadi, said on Sunday that 62 irregular immigrants of Sudanese nationality and 47 others from Chad were deported, indicating that they were taken from the Tarjeel Ganfouda Center to the Kufra Shelter Center in preparation for their deportation.
The Service noted that these immigrants were arrested during daily campaigns with the aim of preserving national security, and that, during the past two days, 4 Egyptian immigrants were also arrested and deported.
