Gadarif: banning publication of harmful materials

The government of Gadarif State in eastern Sudan has banned harmful publishing in all social media platforms, that could harm or undermines security and peace in the state.
It issued an order prohibiting the publication of any negative news or the circulation of information related to the armed forces, regular forces, or the state government unless the information has been verified by those entities.
The government also prevented posting on social media or sharing posts that support the rebellion against the armed forces. In case of violating this decision, a person would face a penalty of three years in prison or a fine of (2) million pounds, in addition to the confiscation of the device used in the publication for the benefit of the state government.
