Kassala Prohibits Vehicle Driving without Credentials

The Acting Governor of Kassala State, Mohammed Musa Abdul Rahman, has issued Emergency Order No. (2) for the year 2024, prohibiting any person from driving or transporting any vehicle (vehicle, motorcycle or motorcycle-truck (Tuktuk) that does not have credentials in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Sudan within the borders of Kassala State.
Any person driving a vehicle without identification papers is considered to be in violation of the emergency order, without prejudice to any violation contained in the Traffic Act, 2010 or the Customs Act, 1986.
The penalties were set at imposing a fine of one million Sudanese pounds or imprisonment for three months, in addition to the penalties stipulated in the Traffic Act, 2010 and the Customs Act, 1986.
