Northern State Issues Directive on Mining

The Governor of the Northern State, Abdeen Awadallah, has directed the Ministry of Infrastructure and Urban Development and the National Sanabel Mining Company, to redouble the effort and work during the coming period, as well as taking advantage of the decision to cancel the state’s mining block license and redistributing it to other blocks, in addition to completing the procedures for the signed contract to treat mining residues.
The meeting was equally attended by the Director General of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Urban Development, Khaled Musa, and the Director General of the National Sanabel Company, Dr. Yasser Bashir.
The Governor reviewed the company’s plans and projects in the field of maximizing the state’s revenues, particularly in light of the exceptional circumstances that the country is going through.
For his part, the Acting Minister of Infrastructure and Urban Development stressed the need to find additional resources quickly and urgently, noting that the entry of Sanabel Company into investing in the field of mining represents a strong addition to the state to increase and maximize its revenues.
