The group stage of the 2023 Asian Cup is approaching the end, and some teams have succeeded in reserving their places in the round of sixteen of the continental tournament.

The first and second placed teams qualify for each group, while 4 teams are chosen as the best third, and only two third placed teams leave.

The host Qatar team is guaranteed to be the first to qualify for the next round and the elimination stage after winning the first two matches.

Teams qualifying for the round of 16 of the 2023 Asian Cup:

Group One: Leader Qatar, runner-up Tajikistan.

Group Two: Leader Australia, runner-up Uzbekistan, Syria, best three.

Group Three: Leader Iran, runner-up UAE, Palestine best three.

Group Four: Iraq is the leader.

Group Six: Saudi Arabia qualified without clinching the place (by defeating Kyrgyzstan and Oman).

The round of 16 matches in the 2024 Asian Cup begin on Sunday, January 28, and continue for 4 days, ending on Wednesday, January 31.
