Manama Hosts Kabashi and Dagalo, Algeria Takes Initiative

Sudan Events – Special
Press reports said that this January, the Bahraini capital, Manama, witnessed three secret meetings between the Assistant Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant General Shams Al-Din Al-Kabashi, and Abdul Rahim Dagalo, the second commander of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), under Egyptian-Emirati sponsorship, according to what the journalist writer, Dr. Muzammil Abu Al-Qasim, stated in his publication yesterday, Friday.
In addition, an informed source confirmed to “Al-Ahdath” that the meetings began after Al-Kabashi’s return from Abu Dhabi and continued until January 20 of this year. The source said that all of these meetings come with the aim of reaching understandings pending the resumption of the Jeddah platform in the middle of next month.
He pointed out that the meetings will culminate in a meeting between Al-Burhan and Hemedti in Manama, which is considered an alternative platform after Sudan froze its membership in IGAD and practically bypassed the IGAD platform that was adopting the call.
In addition, Algeria entered as a new player in the line of initiatives with the arrival of a delegation to Port Sudan carrying proposals to host negotiations between the army and RSF.
