Uzbekistan Faces Qatar in the Quarter-Finals of the Asian Cup

The Uzbekistan national team qualified for the quarter-finals of the 2023 Asian Nations Cup, currently being held in Qatar, after its difficult victory over its counterpart, the Thailand national team, with two goals to one, in the meeting that brought them together today, Tuesday, at Al-Janoub Stadium, within the tournament’s eighth-final round.

The Uzbekistan national team will face its Qatari counterpart in the quarter-finals, next Saturday evening, at Al-Bayt Stadium.

The Uzbekistan national team started scoring in the 37th minute of the match, through Azizibek Turgunbayev, and the Thai national team equalized in the 58th minute, through its player Sapachuk Sarachart.

The Uzbekistan national team succeeded in scoring the second goal, through Abbasbek Fayzulev, in the 65th minute of the match.

The Qatari team had reached the quarter-finals, at the expense of the Palestine team, with a score of 2-1.
