It needs regional and International alignment to bring about the desired movement and the most important requirement is achieving the Greatest Arab Free Trade Area.
It allows the Arab world to deal with investment issues and the transformation of agricultural and food systems into more efficient systems.
One of the largest agricultural systems is the one in Sudan, where there is a semi-automatic sector.
Annually, we cultivate between 45 and 50 million acres, 76% of which is rain-fed, and with the introduction of the required technologies, arrangement, and framing of procedures.
The institution, organizing farmers, opening and stabilizing markets, and preparing the required infrastructure is an effort that requires concerted efforts on investment foundations.
We do not want to grant it, but rather we want to establish relations and partnerships with the mature private sector in the world, and for everyone to realise the benefit and rewarding return from Sudan’s savings, which are still dormant and need to be exploded, so we call.
Exploding potential energies while achieving mutual benefit.
The role of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) in creating partnerships to bridge the food gaps?
The fact that the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD)has goals to contribute in boosting Arab food security and realising sustainable and balanced agricultural development in the Arab world.
In this regard, the (AOAD) works through the Sustainable Agricultural Development Strategy 2030, which has five goals, topped by transforming and adapting agricultural and food systems to become more efficient and capable of giving, sustainability and resilience , to face economic or environmental shocks, then the strategy of preserving agricultural resources (water, land, weather, animal and plant genetic resources).
The third strategic goal is concerned with facilitating and regulating intra-trade in the agricultural sector in the Arab countries, particularly with focusing on trade and investment to stimulate the supply side, regarding food waste and loss.
The fourth strategic goal is concerned with rural transformation and achieving rural well-being, as the bulk of agriculture is located in the countryside.
Therefore, we are keen to accompany all entities that support stability in the countryside.
The fifth goal is to frame and deliver knowledge to technical stakeholders and farmers in different ways.
We are working on capacity building of institutional and individually at the level of the Ministry of Agriculture, entities, or farmers.
