The partial return of communication networks and the Internet in some cities of Sudan led to some banks resuming their work in different cities.
Some banks opened their branches in Atbara, Kassala, Gedaref, and Port Sudan, amid an increase in demand for cash from citizens, for fear of aggravation of the political and economic crisis and the exacerbation of local cash scarcity.
As for the exchange rates, the Sudanese pound witnessed a continuing decline against the dollar recording 1,200 pounds for sale and 1,190 pounds for purchase during parallel market trading.
Meanwhile, other currencies recorded a continuous increase, such as the price of the Saudi riyal which reached 317 pounds, and the Emirati dirham reached 322 pounds, while the Qatari riyal reached 320 pounds.
On the other hand, in the official channels, the Bank of Khartoum set its price at 1,035 pounds, while the Bank of Omdurman at 1,050 pounds, and the price at Faisal Bank was 1,100 pounds.
