Minister of Minerals heralds an increase in the country’s gold production

The Minister of Minerals, Muhammad Bashir Abdullah, heralded an increase in the country’s production of gold during the coming period, and attributed this to the stability that mining sites have witnessed recently as a result of the policies taken by the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company Limited, the supervisory arm of the mineral sector in Sudan, in coordination with the armed forces and the police, mining insurance, security of mineral economies, and mining partners.

This evening (Thursday), the Minister of Minerals reviewed the company’s overall performance since the beginning of work during the emergency period, praising the great efforts made by the company in communicating with companies working in the field of mining and overcoming difficulties until the companies returned to the country and entered the production stage, after their exit as a result of a rebellion. Rapid Support Forces, and the Minister of Minerals directed to redouble efforts and facilitate the tasks of investors to increase production and support the national economy at this stage that the country is going through.

The Minister listened to detailed reports on the performance of producing concession companies, mining waste companies, and the mining sector.

For his part, the General Director of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company Limited, Mohamed Taher Omar, said that the recent package of measures taken by the company contributed significantly to the stability of work at mining sites, increasing production and maximizing revenues, pledging to make more efforts to develop the mining sector. Mohamed Taher renewed his appeal to companies. Investors need to work with maximum energy to advance the economy during this period that the country is witnessing.
