Citizens forced by their circumstances to remain in Khartoum complained about the difficulty of living after the prices of goods rose insanely beyond their financial capacity.
One of the citizens of the Kalakla region said after he came to the city of Shendi to make contacts with his brothers outside Sudan due to the network outage, he said that living life had become almost impossible and he justified this in his talk to (Al-Ahdath) in that prices had risen in addition to stopping.

Retailers in the Al-Kalakla market, Al-Lafa, Jabal Awliya locality, revealed an increase in the prices of consumer goods. The sheikh of the market, Ali Al-Zein, explained that the price of a kilo of sugar ranges between 2,800 and 3,500 pounds, compared to its previous price of 2,500 pounds, while the price of a bag of flour reached between 35000 and 40,000 pounds compared to 22000 pounds before.
The price of a kilo of lentils reached 1,500 – 2,000 compared to a thousand pounds, while the price of a kilo of rice reached 1,000 – 1,500 pounds, compared to 800 pounds, while the price of a 36-pound edible oil jar reached 40,000 pounds, compared to 32,000 pounds.
The price of a kilo of lamb meat reached 17 thousand pounds, while the price of a kilo of veal reached 14 thousand pounds, compared to 8 thousand pounds, while the price of a kilo of tomatoes reached two thousand pounds, compared to 500 pounds before.
At a time when citizens complained about the living conditions and the inability to buy their daily needs, in terms of the fact that salaries were suspended, in addition to the cessation of support from their families due to the network interruption.
