Security Council corridors are witnessing British and American movements to persuade member States of the Security Council to intervene and call on both sides of the conflict in Sudan to stop the war on the occasion of the month of Ramadan, the deteriorating humanitarian situation and the food shortage.
The new special envoy to Sudan said, “The report of the Committee of Experts on Darfur affirmed the urgent need for the Security Council to act and for all concerned to immediately stop committing atrocities, repelling humanitarian aid, and violating the arms embargo.”
