The Central Bank requires advance payment for livestock exports

The Central Bank of Sudan issued a circular stipulating the export of live livestock through advance payment and documentary credits only. Events indicate that the Central Bank banned the export of livestock through advance payment.
According to the Central Bank circular obtained by (Al-Ahadath), the purpose of the circular is to stipulate the procedures for recovering proceeds from livestock exports.
The Central Bank called on banks to direct customers to refer to the Ministry of Trade and Supply to reconcile the status of their existing contracts for which outgoing forms have not yet been issued, or those for which shipments are being made.
The circular excluded goods allowed to be exported through border trade in accordance with regulating controls.
