The National Authority for Roads and Bridges has begun implementing the preliminary study of the Dinder-Abu Kham Al-Mugrah Road, with a length of (110) km. The Authority sent a team headed by Engineer Jaafar Hassan, Director of the Eastern Sector, and the membership of Engineer Abdul Azim Fadl, Engineer Hassan Abdul Salam, and Eng. Hassan Bashir and a number of technicians. The preliminary study included determining the route of the road and knowing the bridges, ferries and other facilities. The Dinder-Aburkham Al-Megrah Road is considered a linking road between the western and eastern national roads and contributes to shortening the distance between Sennar State and Gedaref State, thus linking production areas with consumption areas and export ports and facilitating movement of citizens, social and health services, and reviving trade and investment.
