US Urges the regional parties not to support the Sudan war

Sudan Events – Agencies

The US special envoy to Sudan, Tom Perilio, pledged that his country would seriously seek, during the next few weeks, to stop the war in Sudan before the fragile situation in Sudan reached the point of no return.
He added, “We believe that it is possible to happen, as these generals can stop the war within one day if they want to.”
He pointed out, according to the BBC, that so far there has not been an adequate response to opening humanitarian aid corridors, adding, “We spoke with Al-Burhan and Hemedti that food should not be used as a weapon in war.”
Tom confirmed that he spoke with the regional powers that support the parties to the war to stop this, and we noticed that a number of them had begun to realize that they had contributed to igniting a fire that would burn everyone.
He added, “The continuation of this war will lead to the collapse of the state, and we see the return of armed extremist Islamists to the scene, whom the Sudanese people have struggled for decades to get rid of.”
