Army Repels New Attack on Nyala

The official spokesman for the Sudanese army, Brigadier General Nabil Abdullah, said that the forces of the 16th Infantry Division in Nyala, the capital of South Darfur state, repelled a new ground attack by the Rapid Support Forces today which had mobilized thousands of mercenaries.
Nabil confirmed that the attacking forces were forced to flee after suffering heavy losses in lives and equipment.
In addition, the army spokesman confirmed that the Rapid Support Forces bombed a health center in the Samrab neighborhood, north of Khartoum Bahri, leaving 9 dead and 15 injured.
The incident occurred yesterday, Tuesday, according to Samarab Neighborhood Committees -activists – when a shell fell on a health center attached to a mosque.
The army spokesman warned that the Rapid Support Forces targeting residential neighborhoods with missiles is repeated and is considered an absolute war crime by the Sudanese Armed Forces.
