Sudan Events – Rehab Abdullah

The former Minister of State in the Ministry of Oil, Consultant Engineer Ishaq Jumaa, explained that the pipelines transporting crude oil from the field, the Heglig or Falluj area, are all owned by the government of Sudan and transport the crude whether to the government of South Sudan or the share of the investing companies (China, India, Malaysia) according to the contracts signed.
On his pwrt, he confirmed in a statement to (Al-Ahdath) that in the event of any malfunction, under normal circumstances, Sudan is obligated to repair in record time, otherwise it will be subject to compensation for losses. However, he pointed out that in cases of war, it is called force majeure, there are no fines or liability, which is what happened now with the rupture of oil lines in Sudan.
Ishaq revealed that Sudan incurred losses as a result of the rupture of oil transport lines, represented by the loss of transport fee revenues, as well as the loss of export revenues from investing companies, which called on Sudan to urgently announce the causes of the disruption.
