Warnings of a further rise in the price of the dollar

Economists have warned of the rise in the exchange rate of the Sudanese pound against foreign currencies, which began since the outbreak of the war between the Sudanese army and the ongoing Rapid Support Militia in mid-April last year, 2023, pointing to an increase in demand for foreign exchange.
Traders in the foreign exchange market said during their talk to Al-Ahdaath that the purchase price of the dollar in parallel market trading today (Saturday) reached 1,410 pounds, while the selling price reached 1,420 pounds, while the purchase price of the Saudi riyal reached 371 pounds, while the selling price reached 372 pounds. At a time when the purchase price of the Emirati dirham reached 379 pounds, the selling price reached 380 pounds, and the purchase price of the Qatari riyal reached 381 pounds, while the selling price reached 382 pounds.
Prices in banks also witnessed an increase, with their variation from one bank to another, as the price of the dollar at the Bank of Khartoum reached 1,090 pounds, while its price at Omdurman Bank reached 1,150 pounds, at a time when the price of the dollar at Faisal Bank recorded 1,180 pounds.
