Barcelona has drawn up a plan to keep its young player, Pau Cobarci, in light of concerns about his possible departure in the summer.
Many English Premier League clubs have expressed their desire to include the young defender, given that the release clause in his current contract with Barcelona is only 10 million euros.
According to the Spanish newspaper “Marca”, Barcelona intends to make an offer to Kuparsi for only two years, as the player cannot sign for a longer period because he is under 18 years old.
“Barcelona intends to offer Kuparsi a long-term contract until 2030 or 2031, when he turns 18, similar to what happened with Lamine Yamal.” The newspaper added.
The report indicated that the Barcelona administration is afraid of losing Kuparsi for a small price, especially since he is one of the best young defenders in Europe recently.
