Governor of the Nile River: Markets will not be closed
Sudan Events – Rehab Abdullah
The Governor of the Nile River, Dr. Mohamed Al-Badawi Abdel-Majed, confirmed that the rumors launched by some people seeking to close the markets in the coming days are not true.
The governor expressed in a press statement (Friday) his surprise at the launch of such rumors in light of the complete stability witnessed by the state and the continuation of life normally, as there is no reason to take the measures that some people are circulating through social media outlets.
The governor directed all localities to work hard to organize the markets and movement within them and to resolve all negative aspects, especially in these blessed days when people visit the markets frequently.
Social media sites circulated news that markets in the Nile River State would be closed, the ban would be rescheduled, and movement would be banned between the state’s localities, starting on the twentieth of Ramadan.
