The Sudanese Congress Party condemned the crimes of the Rapid Support Militia in Gezira State and the Sennar border, and held it fully responsible for them.
The party said in a statement on Saturday that unarmed civilians in Gezira area have been exposed to various types of crimes against humanity and systematic violations, since the Rapid Support Forces RSF took control of the state.
He added, “Reports received and reliable testimonies that are very disturbing indicate that these crimes varied between the complete invasion of some villages and the displacement of their residents, theft of property, attacks on civilians, the loss of the lives of many innocent people, and the forced disappearance of others, in addition to exorbitant levies and the collection of money without legal or moral support, in addition to expanding… “These atrocities include a number of villages adjacent to Sennar.”
The party affirmed that the militia’s crimes will not be subject to a statute of limitations, and called on it to immediately stop committing further crimes against civilians and defenseless women, ensure their security and protection, and facilitate paths safe roads to deliver humanitarian aid without targeting, restrictions or restrictions.
He continued, “The humanitarian situation is extremely complicated and the indicators of sliding towards a famine catastrophe are clearly visible. We believe that there is no escape from an immediate ceasefire with effective and binding monitoring mechanisms that guarantee the protection of civilians, the delivery of humanitarian aid, and an end to this accursed war that is killing farmers and offspring day after day and forever, until the suffering ends.” Our people have been experiencing since its outbreak, and then we immediately begin to reach a sustainable, peaceful solution through the negotiating table.”
