Shahama investors complain about not receiving their profits

Investors in government participation certificates (Shahama) for the past year 2023 complained about failure of the Ministry of Finance to pay customers’ dividends at the specified times.

A number of clients and investors warned of the unknown fate of the government participation certificates (Shahama), and considered the matter to be tainted with a lot of ambiguity and ambiguity after the outbreak of the war.

Businessman and former Secretary General of the Chambers of Industry, Abdul Rahman Abbas, told Al-Ahdath that ambiguity surrounds investment in Shahama certificates, and he attributed his fear to the inability of the state, represented by the Ministry of Finance, to pay dividends on the specified dates, which makes continuing investment in them risky.
A government official confirmed that “Shahama” was affected by the militia war, and told (Al-Ahdath) that Shahama certificates are (government participation certificates), as the government, represented by the Federal Ministry of Finance, is issuing participation certificates that represent its assets in some government institutions, and since those assets were affected Due to the war, there are no profits or new offerings.
