Xabi Alonso, coach of the German team Bayer Leverkusen, decided to stay with his club next season and not leave for another club, despite the struggle between Bayern Munich and Liverpool to sign him.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano said that Xabi Alonso has decided to remain at Bayer Leverkusen, with this being announced publicly during the coming period. The decision has been made and confirmed for Xabi, who will stay for another season.
Romano indicated that both Liverpool and Bayern Munich have been informed of Xavi’s decision, and the release clause in Xabi Alonso’s contract will become effective in the summer of 2025.
Romano added that Xabi Alonso participated in planning new contracts with Bayer Leverkusen, as well as retaining stars at the club such as Florian Wirtz.
There was a conflict between Liverpool, which is searching for a successor to Jurgen Klopp, as well as Bayern Munich, which is searching for a successor to Thomas Tuchel, and Real Madrid is also monitoring the situation after the end of Carlo Ancelotti’s contract in 2025.
