US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, held a phone call with Egyptian Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry, and the two ministers discussed multilateral efforts to enhance regional stability.

The two ministers discussed the efforts made to resume negotiations within the framework of the Jeddah Platform, which aims to end the conflict in Sudan and prevent further widespread harm among civilians.
