The acting Governor of the Nile River, Dr. Muhammad Al-Badawi Abdel-Majed Abu Qarun, affirmed their keenness to provide adequate, healthy and available water service to all parts of the state.
When he met (Monday) with the Federal Water Authority delegation, he expressed his happiness with the ongoing efforts to complete work at the Iranian stations in the Shendi and Abu Hamad localities and the arrival of the equipment to Port Sudan after a hiatus that lasted for several years.
The governor said that the operation of these major stations is considered a real addition to the state and good news for the citizen who has been suffering, in addition to the introduction of a solar energy system in some stations to address the energy problem is considered good news for the people and citizens of the state. The state has received a share of the Saudi and Chinese grant, and all of these good things contribute to increasing Water sources in the state to ensure that potable water reaches all areas of the state.
The head of the delegation, Engineer Hamad Al-Nil Muhammad, announced the arrival of the equipment for the Shendi and Abu Hamad stations to the city of Port Sudan, and clearance procedures are being completed. He expected its arrival soon so that work can continue directly. He also announced a group of human beings to establish and construct a number of water stations and to benefit from the Saudi and Chinese grant in establishing many stations.
