 Sudan Events – Follow-ups

The Governor of the Nile River State, Muhammad Al-Badawi Abdel-Majed, directed not to certify shops in government institutions and schools in localities in the state. During his field visit to the Land and Survey Departments of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Urban Development, he called on localities not to license booths in a way that distorts the public view, and he vowed to hold all violating parties accountable by activating land laws. He also directed the use of a system of public auctions for lands to add more transparency and activate the work of building inspectors to address building violations in the state.

The Governor of the Nile River stressed the need for localities to adopt armed rooms in local surveying departments to use them to preserve documents related to surveying and to work on establishing digital work for surveying departments.

For his part, Engineer Samir Saeed emphasized the role of the Land and Survey Departments in serving the citizen and supplying the public treasury with revenues, calling for addressing all the problems facing their work to enable the two departments to play their role in serving the state.
