Sudan participates in an important conference held by FAO

The meetings of the thirty-third session of the Regional Conference of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) kicked off in Rabat on Thursday.
The Sudanese delegation participating in these meetings is headed by the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Dr. Abu Bakr Al-Bushra, with the participation of Ambassador Mawada Omar Haj Al-Toum, Sudanese Ambassador to Rabat, along with the Director of the Department of International and Regional Organizations at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
The opening session of the conference was addressed by Aziz Akhannouch, Prime Minister of Morocco, and the Director-General of FAO held under the slogan (Resilient Food and Agricultural Systems and Inclusive Rural Transformations), the conference will create an opportunity for participants to exchange best practices in food systems as well as explore opportunities for partnerships.
It is hoped that the conference deliberations will focus on the FAO’s strategic framework for the period (2022-2031), which is a road map for achieving sustainable development.
On the other hand, the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry met with his Moroccan counterpart, Dr. Mohamed Seddiqi, on the sidelines of the conference.
The Moroccan Minister appreciated Sudan’s participation in a pavilion in the sixteenth session of the Meknes International Fair, which will be held from (22-28) this April.
