RSF Militia Commits a New Massacre on Gezira

The Rapid Support militia (RSF) has committed in Gezira state a new massacre in the village of “Wad Al-Noura” in Al-Qurashi locality, west of the city of Al-Manaqil, killing “3” citizens and wounding more than “20” others with live bullets when they tried to confront the forces and prevent them from entering the village.

Eyewitnesses confirmed to Al-Taghyeer that a group of militia coming from the White Nile State from the city of Al-Qatina riding heavily armed motorcycles stormed the village of Wad Al-Noura for the purpose of plundering and looting. The citizens of the region confronted them and faced live bullets and were counted as “3” martyrs and more than “20” victims.  .

Eyewitnesses said that the militia has been trying for 10 days to enter the area and block the road in the neighboring villages for the purpose of looting and plundering. He pointed out that these forces have been frequenting the area’s traditional market, which operates every Monday and Thursday, and are trying to plunder citizens’ property and money. He explained that on Thursday a group of the militia stormed the market and the citizens confronted it and forced it to withdraw, but on Friday it returned with a larger number on motorcycles and opened fire on the unarmed civilians who tried to prevent it from entering the village.

Citizens sent an urgent appeal to the armed forces and other regular forces to take urgent action to protect the region against the continuous attacks carried out by unruly criminals to terrorize women and children.
