Critiques on the Central Bank of Sudan

Sudan Events – Rehab Abdullah

The owners of export companies have criticized the Central Bank of Sudan’s recent ban on their companies from exporting incorrectly and unjustly, and criticized the Central Bank’s procrastination in reconciling the conditions of these companies and allowing them to export.
The owners of export companies confirmed to (Sudan Events) that their company had returned all the proceeds of the export, and they were in possession of the documents confirming this, and they accused the Bank of Sudan of not reviewing the banks through which the export was made to determine the number of companies that had not actually paid.
Banking sources acknowledged that errors had occurred in the names of the companies that were banned, but they were certain that if errors occurred for one or two companies, that does not mean that the decision was wrong. They added that the ban is always carried out in a random manner and includes the names of very committed companies and government companies, and then after these companies appeal the decision, all actions against it are canceled.
Exporters acknowledged the existence of “those who are corrupt” who are wasting the revenue issued intentionally, which reflects negatively on the real exporters, and they stressed that they are not saying that the decision is wrong, but that there is some chaos in the performance of the Bank of Sudan. They saw that the decision to ban companies included the benefactors and the abusers, and they stressed the importance of finding a way to besiege the phenomenon of corruption.
