Environmental Expert Demands Treatment of Water Sources

The expert in the field of environment, Dr. Nisreen Al-Sayem has said that the impact of war on the environment is great, especially weapons waste, explosions, corpses, fires, and cutting down trees to provide fuel sources or military operations.
She told (Sudan Events) that the effects are great, resulting in soil and water pollution, and she noted that after the end of the war requires intensifying awareness for all of society, as follows: dealing with foreign objects, whether bullets, sound bombs, or other things, because they are dangerous, and she warned against dogs, mice, and cats that may be infected by them due to eating corpses, and she added, “These animals must be exterminated, and afforestation campaigns must be intensified in conflict areas to absorb polluted air, and water must be treated so that it becomes fit for human use, and water sources (Bahri and Al-Muqran stations) must be treated and well water tests must be conducted.”
