In a New Violation, the Militia Kidnaps Women

Sources told Al-Taghyeer that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has kidnapped a number of women and arrested a number of other young men in the Jabal Al-Daer area, near the city of Umm Rawaba, south of Al-Rahad city in North Kordofan state.
The sources added that the RSF collected citizens’ weapons and kidnapped the group of young men, demanding that they pay sums estimated at 5 million Sudanese pounds per person so that they could be released.
The sources reported that many livestock and agricultural crops were looted, in addition to stealing money and cars from citizens within the area, where the forces continued to carry out serious violations that affected other villages adjacent to the area.
The sources indicated that the RSF have been working for days to commit massacres against civilians, in addition to disrupting water sources inside the Jabal Al-Daer area and the Kardoud and Al-Sameeh areas.
In a statement to the Jabal Al-Daer Council of Commons, he said that the residents of the region are being subjected to genocide and siege by the RSF.
The statement stated that the RSF had attacked the area since April 18, and that citizens were still on the slopes of the mountain, without shelter, without housing, and without food, according to the statement.
The RSF prevented residents of the area from accessing water sources, which they later disabled after looting them, in addition to destroying the electrical energy used to operate them and disabling the communications tower inside the area.
The Council issued an urgent call to all human rights and humanitarian organizations to stand with the citizens of the region in order to lift the siege imposed on them by the RSF so that they can receive humanitarian and medical services and live their normal lives.
