Cadiz passes Getafe and clings to the hope of staying in the Spanish League

Cadiz held on to its slim chances of remaining in the Spanish League, following its valuable and difficult 1-0 victory over its guest Getafe, on Sunday, in the 36th round of the competition.
Ruben Alcaraz played the starring role in the match, after scoring Cadiz’s only goal in the 35th minute from a penalty kick. Cadiz’s tally rose to 29 points, but it remained in 18th place (third from the bottom), before playing its last three matches in the competition, with a difference of 6 points, behind Celta Vigo and Rayo Vallecano teams, which are ranked 15th and 16th, respectively. On the other hand, Getafe’s score stopped at 43 points in tenth place.
