Sudanese Al-Hilal Denies Naming Stadium for its African Matches

The Board of Directors of the Sudanese Al-Hilal Club denied on Sunday naming the stadium that will host its matches in the group stage of the African Champions League.

A Sudanese club official said the council is intensifying efforts to choose a stadium soon and denied picking the Congolese Mazembe Obnina and Libyan stadium.

Al-Hilal of Sudan, which qualified for the African Champions League group stage, lost its “Blue Jewel” stadium, the stronghold of its supporters in Omdurman, due to the war.
