The Rapid Support militia(RSF) haskidnapped Sudanese journalist Tariq Abdullah from his home in the Haj Youssef area and took him to an unknown destination.
The Sudanese Journalists Syndicate said in a statement on Thursday that the RSF kidnapped journalist Tariq Abdullah from his home in the “Hajj Youssef” area in Khartoum Bahri, a week ago, and took him to an unknown destination.
In a statement, the union held “RSF” responsible for the safety of journalist Tariq and demanded his immediate release.
Journalist Tariq Abdullah worked as director and editorial advisor in Al-Ahram Al-Youm newspaper, and previously worked as head of Al Ahdath and publish department in a number of Sudanese newspapers.
Since the start of the war, the RSF militia has targeted journalists, and the report mentioned the violations against journalists since the beginning of the war, which included killing, arrest, forced disappearance, assault, and personal threats.
