Cairo and Moscow stress the need to end Sudan conflict

The official spokesperson and director of the Public Diplomacy Department at the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, said that Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met on Monday with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in the Russian city of “Nizhny Novgorod”, on the sidelines of participating in the meetings of the BRICS foreign ministers.
The two ministers discussed the latest developments on the crisis in Sudan.
The two sides stressed the importance and necessity of working to end the conflict and preserve the capabilities and institutions of the Sudanese state.
