SSMO Announces starting of the unified Window for Gold Exports

Director General of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company ( SMRC) Limited, Mohamed Taher Omar, affirmed progressing in improving export procedures and reducing transaction windows for traders and exporters by establishing a unified window that includes all parties related to export operations to maximize the country’s exports of gold and minerals and support the national economy.
For her part, the Director General of the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization ( SSMO) Rahba Saeed Abdullah, revealed intensive efforts in coordination with the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company ( SMRC) to start work on the unified window for export procedures within a period of two weeks in coordination with all relevant parties.
She explained in a joint meeting with the Director of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company ( SMRC) which discussed all issues related to gold export operations and mechanisms for facilitating export transactions for traders and exporters, in the presence of directors of general departments and representatives of the security services.
She explained that the unified window aims to reduce the time for export procedures so that exporters are not affected by the extension of the time period.
