IOM: More than 328,000 people fled Al-Fasher

The International Organization for Migration ( IOM) affiliated with the United Nations UN revealed on Sunday that 328,000 people fled Al-Fasher, the capital of North Darfur state, after the escalation of clashes.
The International Organization for Migration IOM said in a statement that “the clashes led to the displacement of an estimated 328,981 individuals from Al-Fasher, from April 1 to June 30 of this year.”
It indicated that the clashes that took place during the months of April and May 2024 led to widespread displacement from the northern, eastern and southeastern neighborhoods to other locations within Al-Fasher.
