Sudan Electricity Holding Company confirmed the completion of all arrangements to transfer the alternative transformer to the Port Sudan Transformer Station, and expected it to arrive within the next few days, resulting in significant stability in the electricity supply in Port Sudan.
The company added that the statement comes within the framework of providing the facts to the citizens of the Red Sea State and Port Sudan city in particular, and the transformer is being transferred to mitigate the effects of the failure of one of the transformers of the Port Sudan Transformer Station, adding: “The efforts of the transmission and distribution companies continued with continuous work until they were crowned with providing emergency capacities at the Port Sudan Transformer Station, which led to a relative easing in the electricity supply during the recent period.”
It called on citizens to work on rationalizing consumption so that everyone can enjoy a stable electricity current.
