Khartoum Receives Support to combat Autumn Vectors

Khartoum state received support from the Federal Ministry of Health to combat autumn disease vectors and kidney dialysis medications.
Khartoum Governor Ahmed Osman Hamza said that the support comes at an appropriate time due to the war conditions and the urgent need for support, especially after the state lost its financial resources and most of the large medical institutions went out of service.
He added, while receiving the aids and medications, that the state is working with the support of the Federal Ministry of Health and some supporters to gradually return to service, noting that this support will enhance preventive health and mosquito control in its various stages and complement other activities implemented by the components of the Supreme Committee for Autumn Emergencies.
For his part, Director General of the Ministry of Health in Khartoum, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Qaim, revealed the details of the support received by his ministry, which consists of 150 hand spray pumps, 30 pumps carried on the back, and 15 large pumps carried on carts, addition to providing all protective equipment for spray workers, addition to significant quantities of pesticides and 300,000 impregnated mosquito nets. Al-Qaim announced that his ministry received kidney dialysis medications, which constitute a good stock for the coming period, within the plan set by the Health Emergency Committee, which included all health needs in the state.
