Abu Qota Resistance Committees in Gezira state said on Thursday that the Rapid Support RSF Militia imposed sums of money on the city’s citizens under the pretext of protecting it from looting.
Abu Qota Resistance Committees said in a statement that “the Rapid Support RSF Militia is still imposing SDGs 70,000to 90.000 on the city’s citizens daily under the pretext of protecting it from (Shafshafa ) theives- that is, from looting.”
It indicated that the militia threatened to stop protecting the city if the amount was not paid or if it was unable to pay, stressing that all aspects of life in the area had disappeared, as the market had stopped working and cash had disappeared amid a severe shortage of food and medicine.
Abu Qota Resistance Committees held the Rapid Support RSF responsible for protecting civilians, demanding that no money be imposed on them, especially since they do not have their daily sustenance after the lack of sources of income.
It stressed that all forces that attack civilians are elements affiliated with the Rapid Support RSF.
