The Sudanese Ministry of Health revealed the presence of 8 ,998,059 IDPs in all shelters in the country, which number two thousand and 280 centers.
The Ministry’s Emergency Center announced in a meeting on Tuesday at its headquarters in Kassala the formation of 3 field work teams in 3 states to work on solving problems and obstacles in the centers.
The meeting reviewed several reports, including the epidemiological situation report in the country, which affirmed the relative stability of the situation, indicating that no new cholera cases were recorded for the sixth week in a row, as well as no new meningitis cases.
While the recorded cases of dengue fever decreased with only 6 new cases recorded, all in Khartoum state, while 14 measles cases were recorded in 3 states: (Khartoum, River Nile and Red Sea).
According to the report, 17 new cases of sunstroke were recorded in the Red Sea state in 3 localities, and one death, bringing the cumulative number to 37 cases and 4 deaths.
