Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned from entering famine to Sudan against the backdrop of the Rapid Support Forces RSF’destruction of the infrastructure and the disruption of the agricultural season in the Gezira Scheme .
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on Tuesday that the “militia” continues, under its regional sponsors ; its malicious plans to cause famine in the country, by deliberately and systematically disrupting agricultural activity in food production areas, terrorizing farmers, destroying the infrastructure of the agricultural sector, and looting agricultural machinery, seeds, and winter and summer crops.
The statement said that the ultimate goal of the plan is to empty the production areas of their people and replace them with “militia elements and their historical mercenaries”, noting that the “terorrist campaign” led by the militia is supported by the rapid disruption of production in part of the Gezira Scheme for the first time in a hundred years, in addition to the threatening agricultural season in the states of Sennar and Blue Nile and the Rahad scheme .
The Rapid Support Forces RSF statement held it fully responsible for creating and planning this crisis, and said that the government reminds the international and regional community of this, affirming the need for the Iranians to call on those behind this terrorist plot to starve and impoverish the Sudanese people.
