Sudan Reopens its Embassy in Iran

The government opened on Tuesday the Sudanese embassy in the Iranian capital, Tehran, marking the start of its work after years of estrangement.
A circular issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that “Ambassador Hussein Awad Ali, the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, opened the Sudanese embassy in Tehran on Tuesday, marking the start of the work of the Sudanese embassy in the Islamic Republic of Iran after an interruption of nearly eight years.”
The opening ceremony was attended by Reza Mostafaei, representing the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ambassador Abdul Aziz Hassan Saleh, the appointed Sudanese ambassador to Tehran, addition to a group of ambassadors and diplomats accredited to Iran, including the ambassadors of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the State of Kuwait, the Republic of Iraq, and a number of other diplomats.
