Hope for the Resumption of Sennar Power Plant Operations  

The Director of the Sennar Power Plant, Engineer Ahmed Musa, confirmed that work has been completed to restart one of the two turbines at the Sennar Power Plant.

According to the Sudan News Agency, this effort took a month to repair the malfunctions, and the plant has been illuminated with plans to operate it at a capacity of four megawatts. He noted that it was previously operating at a capacity of 5 megawatts before the malfunction, and its maximum capacity is 7.5 megawatts, with the two turbines together generating 15 megawatts. However, the turbines have reached the end of their operational life, so they must be run at less than maximum capacity to benefit critical facilities in the city of Sennar, such as dialysis in the hospital, water wells, and the Aridiba pump station.

He added that the plant is ready for operation, with only coordination with the transmission and distribution company remaining.
