British Ambassador: Our Goal is to Support the Values of the December Revolution

Sudan Events – Reports
The British Ambassador to Sudan, Giles Lever, announced the end of his mission in the country after three years serving as the United Kingdom’s Ambassador to Sudan.
Lever stated on his X platform account, “After three years, today marks the end of my work as Ambassador to Sudan. I leave with a heavy heart; the ongoing war is a tragedy for the Sudanese people.”
He added, “I understand that some Sudanese strongly oppose certain aspects of UK policy. But our goal has always been, and still is, to support the values of the December Revolution: freedom, peace, justice, and civil governance.”
He continued, “Despite the immense sorrow of the past sixteen months, I will also retain fond memories of the country’s beauty and cultural richness, as well as the kindness and charm of the Sudanese people. They deserve a better future, and the United Kingdom will continue to work to help them achieve that.”
