South Sudan to Export Crude Oil through New Pipeline

Deputy Minister of Oil Industry in South Sudan, Mayen Wall Jong has revealed his country’s desire to establish a new pipeline to enable access to the sea as an alternative to the existing pipeline which crosses Sudan.
He added, during the (Russian Energy Week) forum held in Moscow, that the problem is that it became impossible to continue exportation of oil production through Sudan because of the war there, adding that the pipeline crossing Sudan to the Red Sea harbor in Port Sudan is collapsing.
The South Sudan official added that they are endeavoring to find alternatives a matter that requires the support of Russian companies to establish an alternative pipeline to allow exportation through Djibouti which has an acres to the Red Sea.
