The Sudanese Doctors Network announced the killing of 21 people and the injury of more than 70 others as a result of artillery shelling by the Rapid Support Forces militia on the market of Sennar City on Sunday evening.
The Sudanese Doctors Network condemned the massacre carried out by the Rapid Support Forces militia against civilians in Sennar by targeting public gathering places in the markets, which resulted in heavy losses among unarmed civilians.
Eyewitnesses and military sources told “Sudan Tribune” that the number of victims exceeds 150 people, dead and wounded, due to artillery shells falling in densely populated areas.
Witnesses reported that the shelling hit the vegetable market, the fish market, and the public transportation station inside the market, as well as the employees’ neighborhoods, residential areas, and other locations.
