Russian Strategic Bombers Fly Over Barents Sea and Norwegian Sea

   The Russian Ministry of Defense reported on Wednesday that Russian strategic bombers of the Tu-160 model flew over the Barents Sea and the Norwegian Sea as part of large-scale naval exercises, according to RIA Novosti news agency. The ministry said that the flights were part of the “Ocean 2024” exercises, launched by Russia a day earlier. The exercises, which are the largest since the Soviet era, involve more than 90,000 soldiers, over 400 ships, 125 aircraft, and will continue until September 16 across a vast area that includes parts of the Pacific Ocean, the Arctic Ocean, the Mediterranean Sea, the Baltic Sea, and the Caspian Sea.
